My Story
My name is Kathy-Anik Mercier but I go by Kathy. I was born and raised in beautiful Quebec City.
In 1999, breaking my mother’s heart, I decided to move to Lake Louise, Alberta, for one year to learn English as a second language. Well, I fell in love with the mountains and never left!
I’ve always been physically active and enjoyed physical work. I liked the challenge…just to see if I could do it. Sometimes I could and other times I couldn’t! So dealing with injuries has given me great insight into how important it is to care for your body to enjoy your everyday life and activities.
In 2014, exhausted after 9 years working nights for Canada Post, I decided to go back to school and do something useful with my hands. I became a massage therapist and I love it!
Of course, I like helping people but I also like how this profession allows me to build a relationship with people that I otherwise would have probably never met!
Maybe you can already tell but I am friendly. I now live in beautiful Mahogany, Calgary, with my lovely husband, our two children, and our three cats.
My Approach
As a Registered Massage Therapist, I am trained in Deep Tissue Massage, Rapid Neurofascial Reset, Myofascial release, PNF stretching, Static\Dynamic Cupping, Swedish Massage. I take courses every year to enhance my abilities and add to my skill set.

So, what do I do with all that? I mashed it all together to give you the treatment that you need. Does it hurt? Sometimes it does…a little. Pain is an essential component of the body’s ability to heal, it is the body’s way of telling us there is an injury, and we need to do something about it. Creating discomfort or pain signals your body to release chemicals that support healing. However, any pain should always be bearable. If the pain is too much let me know immediately.
Everyone has a different pain tolerance, and it is so important to collaborate with me.

With that said, the treatment will not be painful for an hour! I honestly believe that for you and your muscles to heal, you need to be able to RELAX! Do not underestimate the power of relaxation.

It is important to me that you feel comfortable and get the most out of your time with me.
